Anna & Jason
Anna & Jason’s wedding was unlike the typical Western styled weddings that we’re all used to. They chose to incorporate their Chinese culture with the traditional Chinese tea ceremony at their parents’ house in Brooklyn, which includes traditional door games, honoring of the parents and elders of the families through tea sharing, and the bestowing of gifts in the form of red envelopes (wishing good luck) or through jewelry. But furthermore, they still wanted to include a traditional Western styled wedding by holding a dinner reception at the Milling Room in the Upper East Side, Manhattan. So after the tea ceremony, we had some time for the bride & groom to change into their wedding attires and traveled to Central Park to take some stunning portraits of the bride and groom, as well as bridal party group photos! Incorporating both styles of weddings really called for some amazing moments and I witnessed a beautiful exchange of different cultures. I was glad to capture this beautiful wedding and am so excited to share their wedding photos!
